Jammu Kashmir News: The search for pro-Pakistan terrorists is going on in Poonch and Rajouri districts adjoining the Line of Control for the last 27 days. This is the most distant operation ever against these terrorists lurking in the dense forests in the south of the Pir Panjal range. On the day of Diwali, the security forces got information that terrorists hiding in Poonch were seen in Shopian.


Srinagar. The encounter between the Indian Army and terrorists has started in Rajouri, Jammu, and Kashmir. Firing continues from both sides. At the same time, keeping in mind the safety of the people, the army has also closed the Rajouri-Thanamandi main road for vehicular movement. Additional security forces have been called to eliminate the terrorists. In fact, on Saturday afternoon, the local people informed the police and the army about the hiding of terrorists in the area. After which the police and security forces launched a search operation.


In the Poonch and Rajouri districts joining the LoC, the search for pro-Pakistan terrorists is operating for the last 27 days. Meanwhile, today is the 27th day of the operation against the ongoing terrorists in Surankote, Mendhar in Poonch district, and Thannamandi in Rajouri district. Nine soldiers, including two Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), were martyred in two separate encounters with terrorists during a search operation in the Surankot forest on October 11 and in the Mendhar forest on October 14. The army has not officially announced the end of this operation.
